Guidance for Your Retreat

Quick Reference Links

Thank you for reading this page! It contains very important information that you need for the Be Wise, Go Kind Retreat that begins on Friday, June 26, 2020.

Zoom Link

Do you have your personal Zoom link easily accessible? If not, don’t worry!

For your convenience, we will send the Zoom link again prior to the start of the retreat. Remember, your personal link is your “ticket” to the event. If you have questions about this link, please email: help@nalandabodhi.org

An example of this email with where you can find the link is highlighted here:

It’s a good idea to do a Zoom link test before the retreat. Just click on your personal link, and then click on “Allow.” This should take you to a Zoom page that reads: “Waiting for the host to start this webinar. This is a recurring webinar. Online Retreat with Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche.” If you have questions, please email: help@nalandabodhi.org

If you haven’t done so already, please download the latest Zoom app at https://zoom.us/download. If you have downloaded Zoom before, please make sure you have updated it to the latest version on all your devices.

Preparing for the online retreat

We encourage you to make time for yourself and not engage in activities during the retreat that could distract you. Create a quiet space where you can watch, participate, and contemplate.

Have paper and pencil ready! Feel free to make notes, jot down a question, or write a contemplation.

Refer to the Resource Page…OFTEN! This page has important information and links that you need during the retreat. For example, you can find information on your local interactive session, or you can access recordings. You can also review the questions that Mitra Mark Power will ask during the Contemplative Interludes.

We will refer to this page throughout the weekend.

Chat

The Chat feature on Zoom will be open before and after teachings so that participants can send a written greeting to each other.

If you discover that you need help or have a question during the Retreat, please email help@nalandabodhi.org. The Chat feature will not work during teachings.

Getting Help

If you have any questions before or during the retreat, here are a number of resources:

Got a question for Rinpoche?

Participants will stay muted throughout the retreat, except during the breakout sessions. However, do not worry if you have a question for Rinpoche!

On Sunday, June 28, there will be a Question and Answer (Q&A) session with Rinpoche. He will answer as many questions from the weekend as possible. You can find the form here.
