Thank you for registering for the Winter Retreat! Please follow the registration steps below:

  1. Fill out the registration questionnaire (click here).
  2. Click to select your registration option from the table below. Then fill in the PayPal payment options.
  3. If you want to register for a double room, please provide the name of your roommate. We will not routinely assign roommates, but if registering for a single poses a financial hardship and you don’t have a roommate, email Registrar Ellen Balzé (ellenbalze@yahoo.com), who may be able to help connect you with someone else seeking a roommate. Some double rooms have queen beds and others have two twin beds. Please indicate which type you’d prefer.
  4. If you want a private bath, please request this by adding it now to your initial registration payment. In case a private bath is not available, this amount will be refunded.

Private Bath Option The standard single or double room pricing above is for a rooms with a shared hall bath. For either room type, you can request an upgrade to a room with a private bath for an additional fee. If you wish to do so, please include that option when you fill in the PayPal info below. We expect that there will be enough rooms with private baths to meet all requests, but if a private bath is not available, the additional fee will be refunded.

Additional Info: Registration includes lodging, all meals (5-day retreat: Friday dinner through Tuesday lunch; 4-day retreat: Friday dinner through Monday lunch; 3-day retreat: Friday dinner through Sunday lunch), and teaching gifts. Commuter registration does not include breakfast.

Payment Options:  You can pay a deposit, the full amount, or the balance due via PayPal below, or mail a check. Final balance is due on Wednesday, December, 19. Please note deposits are non-refundable except in special circumstances. Our refund policy is below. To pay by check, see below.

Room Types: Single rooms may have a full, queen, or two twin beds, but will be assigned to just one person. Double rooms may have a full bed or two twin beds. Please indicate your bed type preference if you want a double room. Double room prices are per person. Please choose a Double Room only if you have a roommate in mind. We will not routinely assign roommates, but if registering for a single poses a financial hardship and you don’t have a roommate, email Registrar Ellen Balzé  (ellenbalze@yahoo.com), who may be able to help connect you with someone else seeking a roommate. In the event that your planned roommate is unable to attend, you may upgrade to a single room.

Scholarship Matching Fund: double your gift

There are some who will not be able to attend without your scholarship support. Thanks to a generous $2,500 scholarship matching fund donation, your scholarship gift will automatically be doubled (up to $5,000 total). Please chip in whatever you can.

You can add a note to designate your scholarship gift for a particular individual or add other details.  (Sorry, because scholarship contributions go directly to benefit individuals, they are not tax-deductible.)

Custom Registration

If you have contacted the event coordinators for scholarship assistance and a custom registration amount, or for other custom registration arrangements, you can pay the agreed upon amount here.  Please also enter who you made the arrangement with, and any additional details.




Pay by Check

To pay in advance by check, please figure out the correct registration amount via the options above.  Then make out a check payable to “Nalandabodhi” and mail it to the address below.  Be sure to include a note giving all other necessary details including # of days, room type, roommate preference and bed type (for double rooms), optional private bath, and affiliation if any. Refunds

If we receive your cancellation notice by Wednesday, Dec. 19, you will be refunded the amount paid above the deposit amount. To keep costs as low as possible and to cover fixed expenses,  we cannot guarantee refunds of the deposit amount except in the case that your application is determined to be an unsuitable fit for the retreat. After the conclusion of the retreat, if finances allow, we will review and allocate partial or full refunds of the deposit amount.

Cancellations after Wednesday, Dec. 19, are not refundable.


Schedule

The schedule below is tentative and subject to change. Please check back for updated information. (Registrants will also receive an email with retreat details prior to the retreat.)

Retreat Check-In:  Retreat check-in begins at 4 PM, Friday, Dec. 28.  Please do your best to arrive by dinner time (6 – 7 PM). The first meditation session is from 7:00 – 7:30 PM. The first teaching session will follow.

Retreat Conclusion & Check-Out:  For 3-day retreat participants, the retreat ends after lunch at 1 PM, Sunday, Dec. 30. For 4-day retreat participants, the retreat ends after lunch at 1 PM, Monday, Dec. 31. For 5-day retreat participants, the retreat ends after lunch at 1 PM, Tuesday, Jan. 1. (If you are able to stay and help with take down for the retreat, we would be happy for your help.)


Waiver

Participants will be asked to sign a standard waiver upon check-in at Copper Beech Institute. You can download a copy here.
